What is the easiest way to drive from upper east side nyc to new haven in a small uhaul truck?

The truck is the smallest one, 10' and I've never driven a truck before, let alone a truck in manhattan. I know some highways (ex. FDR drive don't allow trucks) and I just want to find the easiest way to get north.
