How old was your newborn when you first went out with him/her . ?

My son was 4 days old when we had our first "outing". He had to get his blood drawn for a billirubin test (jaundice) and then we went to visit my great-grandma who wasn't able to come up to the hospital. My husband had to work, so my mom went with. I live in the northern part of the US and this was back in January when it is quite cold. He was all bundled up and my mom picked us up at the door. As long as you dress your daughter in appropriate clothing and cover her up if it is raining, she should be fine. Good luck!
